From pristine rainforests to stunning mosques an unforgettable trip to Darussalam awaits.
Situated to the north-west of the island of Borneo, Brunei Darussalam is an oil-rich sultanate with a territory of 2,226 sq. miles. It has a diverse habitat comprising approximately 15,000 species of vascular plants and 2,000 species of trees, which support a thriving ecosystem for various animal species. Home to ornate mosques, beautiful waterfronts, a water village with stilt homes, water parks, and museums, Brunei offers an assortment of experiences.
The Ulu Temburong National Park, called the Green Jewel of Brunei, is famous for its wildlife, which includes gibbons, otters, coloured Wagler's pit viper, flying squirrels, hornbills, over 40 species of butterflies, and the "exploding ant,' one of the rarest species of ants. At country's famous night markets or pasar malam, you can find a wide variety of local treats, including grilled fish with spicy sauce, fried noodles, fried banana fritters, satay, and fresh coconut juice.
