I started traveling back in the mid-70s, leading Scuba Diving trips to Mexico and the Caribbean, and up and down the west coast from Washington to California. In '85 I changed careers and became a travel agent, working exclusively with an island resort in Fiji as their reservations manager in the US. That led to working with many of the Fiji resorts and resorts in the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, and many of the smaller Pacific nations. Basically, my favorite place is a small island resort where I can cruise on dry land, with easy access to water and land-based activities, and have the opportunity to interact with fellow guests, enjoy great meals, and have a cocktail or two. It's true. You arrive at one of the amazing resorts as a guest but leave as a friend. You might even start to feel like family.
