Oh so difficult to choose! In no particular order, here are our top picks for deluxe overwater bungalows with the “wow factor”. St Regis Bora Bora Travelling with another couple or with family couldn’t be more glamourous than staying at the Royal Overwater Two-Bedroom Pool Villa at the St Regis. Inside this 3,455 square foot bungalow you’ll find two bedrooms (each with spacious Italian marble bathrooms), connected by a gracious living room. On the deck, enjoy relaxing in your personal private pool (rare to find in overwater bungalows in French Polynesia), with beautiful views of Mount Otemanu and direct access to the lagoon, plus a dining gazebo, terrace, and outdoor shower. Guests here will also receive the St Regis Butler Service; your personal concierge available for arranging any special excursions, such as private picnics or any other requests. Guests simply press the "butler" button on the telephone. Lily Beach Maldives The Sunset Water Suite at the Lily Beach Resort and Spa in the Maldives is both elegant and luxurious. Discover your own separate bedroom, plus a day bed that looks out into the turquoise ocean for the ultimate "Over-water" living experience. Likuliku Resort Fiji There’s only one official resort in Fiji with overwater bungalows (called “bures” in Fiji), and those are the 10 found at the exclusive and romantic Likuliku Lagoon Resort. These stunning rooms look out into the pristine, calm ocean feature traditional architecture and design. Look out into the lagoon from your bathtub, or relax on your deck and enjoy your daily Chef's Canape Plate. Four Seasons Bora Bora The 5-star Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora houses a few types of overwater bungalows, with the largest being the two bedroom overwater bungalow suite with plunge pool. We love the overwater bungalow suite in size (1,120 sq.ft.), with its unobstructed views of the lagoon, private plunge pool, and large deck. For families, this resort doesn’t charge for children or young adults 17 and under.
Taj Exotica Maldives Luxury doesn’t get any better than the Rehendi Presidential Suite at the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa in the Maldives. A 500 square meter award-winning villa boasts its features of a living room, a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, and a double vanity-glassed bathroom with rain showers. Guests also have a personal bar with organic foods and personalized in-room butler service. Outside the bungalow, you’ll find an 18 metre fresh water pool with a private sundeck, two "salas" for relaxing and dining, and a suspended deck filled with sand and a hammock over the turquoise Indian Ocean.
