Overview
Take a trip to Ste Anne Island on your Seychelles Vacation
Sainte Anne Island is situated 4 kilometres/2..5 miles from the main island of Mahe reached by boat in about 10 minutes on a Seychelles vacation. It is the largest of the six islands that make up the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, a natural region of abundant tropical vegetation. The island is dominated by a large mountain surrounded by lush tropical forests. It was the first place colonized by French settlers in Seychelles.
Occupying nearly a mile of undulating coastline the only sounds are rustling palm trees and gentle waves lapping at white sandy beaches. The three beaches at Sainte Anne are teeming with marine life.
The Marine National Park is home to more than 150 species of fish and other underwater life. No motorized water sports are permitted to disturb this natural paradise. Both scuba diving and snorkeling will reward the visitor here on a Seychelles vacation.
