Costa Blanca Vacation Packages and Tours

Overview

Take a trip to Costa Blanca on your Spain vacation.

Costa Blanca (the White Coast) is a stretch of coastline between Valencia in the north and Alicante in the south covering over 200 kilometres/120 miles of the Mediterranean Sea offering white sandy beaches and clear blue waters, ideal for a Spain holiday. It provides scenery and cultural attractions and archaeological sites. The choice of venue is wide-ranging from International beach resorts to large cosmopolitan cities. There are also historical inland villages to explore. The climate is generally on the mild side.

Alicante has been an important seaport. Today it is the gateway to Costa Blanca on trips to Spain. It has many historic buildings including a cathedral, churches and a castle. It also has a wonderful beach lined with palm trees along its extremely attractive promenade, the Explanada de Espana where outdoor concerts are held. There is a colourful old quarter with narrow streets leading up to the city walls and the castle. El Palmeral Park includes walking trails, children's playgrounds, ponds and an auditorium for concerts.

Benidorm, on a trip to Spain, is the most popular resort on Costa Blanca due to its excellent beaches, some of the best in Spain, choice of accommodation, selection of restaurants, nightlife and recreational activities including golf courses. It is surrounded by high mountains which protect it from cooler weather in the winter. The two main beaches are Playa de Poniente and Playa de Levante, the latter being the less crowded. The old quarter of Benidorm separates the two beaches with narrow lanes and alleyways.

The attractive town of Denia has managed to combine the preservation of its heritage with tourism. It is a delightful cosmopolitan town where the sun shines all year round. It boasts 20 kilometres/12 miles of sandy beaches and rocky coves. It also has historical sites dating back to before Roman times. Almost everywhere you go, you will find ancient ruins. There is good scuba diving and snorkeling on the rocky part of the beach with exotic fish swimming around.

Javea is a small, historic town with friendly locals and a good selection of accommodations and restaurants on a holiday in Spain. It also has 20 kilometres/12 miles of sandy beaches and hidden coves. Crystal-clear waters and a gorgeous seabed make this the ideal place for scuba diving on a trip to Spain. The historic quarter is actually located two kilometres/1 mile away from the coast with its well-preserved and beautiful architecture. There is an Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum where you can learn about the history of the town.

Moraira is a small coastal town situated in the beautiful mountainous northeastern tip of Costa Blanca. The World Health Organization recommended the climate in the area as one of the most equitable in the world. It has grown from a small fishing village into a charming resort. It has an impressive marina and excellent harbourside restaurants. The two main sandy beaches have both known for their cleanliness and being safe for family bathing. There are 3 golf courses close to Moraira. The surrounding area offers some beautiful and unspoilt scenery with many small villages worth exploring on the Spain holidays.

The resort of Guardamar del Segura has golden sandy beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, crystal-clear seas, a scenic marina and an excellent choice of restaurants. It is surrounded by natural beauty spots consisting of attractive salt lakes and pine forests providing a beautiful landscape with the scent of pine. Guardamar del Segura has some amazing sand dunes which add to the beauty of the coastline. You can walk along the entire 6 kilometres/3.5 miles of dunes. It is an ideal spot for water sports including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and jet-skiing. The shallow waters are great for snorkeling on a trip to Spain.
