This 6-day trip to Brazil starts in Rio de Janeiro, one of the world’s most beautiful cities blessed with an astounding natural harbour. A city tour showcases the world-famous landmarks. Head up Corcovado Mountain to gaze upon the beneficent statue of Christ the Redeemer before you ride the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain and stroll along iconic Copacabana Beach. Take advantage of leisure time to hit up the other famous beaches, including Ipanema, or explore some of the city’s most popular neighbourhoods. Onwards to Iguassu Falls, the massive waterfall that prompted Eleanor Roosevelt to utter, “Poor Niagara.” Hike along the trails on the Brazilian side of the falls before you cross over to the Argentine side to see the famous Devil’s Throat, where a massive u-shaped curtain of water falls at all hours of the day. Stop by the Three Borders where Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay meet before ending your Brazilian vacation.

Rio de Janeiro
After an early breakfast, set out for a memorable day exploring some of the top highlights of Rio. This 5-hour tour begins with pick-up in the lobby of your hotel between 7:30am and 8:10am, and then sets out to the city's two most famous landmarks: the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. The drive up to the statue, found on top of Corcovado Mountain and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, is short and scenic. Travelling through the Tijuca Forest before opening to incredible views of the city, the entire journey is enjoyable and pays offs with spectacular vistas. Afterwards, head to Surgarloaf Mountain where you will travel to the top by way of two cable cars. The first cable car will bring you to Urca Hill, a vantage point 215 meters (706 feet) above the nearby ocean, from which you'll take in beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Mountain. Then it's on to a second cable car which will take you to the summit. Standing at 395 meters (1,295 feet), breathtaking panoramic views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and several beaches of Niteroi take center stage. After riding the cable car back down, you will be returned to your hotel where the afternoon is yours to enjoy.

Today is free to relax at your hotel, on Ipanema Beach, or explore the streets of this world famous city on your own. Alternatively, a range of optional group excursions are available at additional cost: 1) Santa Teresa and Lapa Neighbourhoods with Tram Ride and visit to the Selaron Steps (4 hrs), 2) The Museum of Tomorrow, Aquarium Rio & Olympic Boulevard (4 hrs), 3) Rio Nature: The Tijuca Forest and Botanical Garden (4 hrs). Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls
Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport alongside fellow travellers. Upon arrival, board a flight with service to Iguassu Falls (flight not included). Once in Iguassu Falls, join your group and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Soon after you will set out on shared tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. The tour begins with a visit to the main Visitor Center of the park, where you can learn about the local ecosystem. From there, hike along the most impressive trail of the park where the you can enjoy incredible views of the waterfalls. After taking in the sights from a nearby belvedere, return to the park’s entrance via a short walk and panoramic elevator. The rest of your afternoon and evening is at leisure; however, you may be interested in joining in on a shared tour of the National Bird Park (available at additional cost).

Settle in for breakfast at your hotel, then travel to the Argentine side of the falls following a brief stop at Customs. You will then cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge over Iguassu River, which separates Argentina and Brazil. Once in Argentina, take a scenic route to the Argentine Iguassu Park and marvel at the breathtaking views of the Argentinean Falls, including the Devil's Throat (the largest of the Argentinean Falls) and the San Martin Falls. On the return journey, you will stop at the "Three Borders" where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet, and also explore the upper circuit to get an close-up view of the Devil's Throat. Available at additional cost, consider joining "the Big Adventure", a rainforest and waterfall adventure enjoyed by truck and boat.
