Botswana Express: Central Kalahari, Okavango Delta & Chobe National Park
- Duration
- 8 Days
- Prices From:
- US$ 6,553
FIRST CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: Discover some of the world’s best wildlife in three distinct regions across Botswana. See lions in the famous desert of the Central Kalahari, explore the wetlands of the Okavango Delta, and have close encounters with elephants in Chobe.
This 8-day Botswana safari takes you to game reserves in the Kalahari, Okavango Delta, and Chobe. It features first-class accommodations and small group tours.
Your journey to Botswana begins in the transit hub of Maun, where you’ll connect to Dinaka Lodge in the exclusive environment of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Spend two nights at this 5-star game lodge situated along a permanent waterhole in the heart of the Kalahari. You’ll head on daily morning and afternoon game drives to explore the arid landscape and see some of the local wildlife, including Kalahari lions, springboks, Oryx, and brown hyenas.
Trade the desert landscape of the Kalahari for wetland as you connect by air to Kadizora Camp in Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. During your three nights at this 4-star safari camp, you’ll stay in luxury tents that offer you intimacy and sophistication in the midst of the beautiful landscape. Spend your days on morning and afternoon safari drives. You can ride a mekoro out onto the swamplands in the morning, spotting rare birds as they feed at dawn. In the afternoon, head on a bushwalk through the swampy landscape to spot elephants bathing in the cool waters or cheetahs resting under a shady tree, waiting for twilight to resume the hunt.
Connect to Kasane and continue to Elephant Valley Lodge in the greater Chobe region. This game area along the northern edge of the nation has the largest population of wild elephants in the world. Spend two nights at the 4-star lodge and explore the landscape in search of elephants and other fascinating animals, including hornbills, hippos, and leopards. You’ll likely have some close encounters with the elephant population and have a chance to see water-based animals with boat excursions on the waterways. At the end of your stay, you’ll connect back to Kasane to return home.
