Utilising many of the award-winning facilities built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the Sydney 2009 World Masters Games will be the biggest multi-sport event ever, with organisers expecting more than 30,000 competitors and a similar number of travelling companions to converge upon Australia’s breathtaking harbour city for the seventh edition of what are often referred to as the Olympic Games for sportspersons beyond young adulthood.
