Zambia – Luxury in the Bush

“Wilderness luxury” is no contradiction in Zambia. AFRICAExperts, one of North America’s leading wholesalers, offers international visitors the opportunity to enjoy Zambia’s great outdoors in complete comfort. From the remote, beautiful South Luangwa National Park, to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Victoria Falls, each of these areas offer something special for visitors. The luxury tented camps and upmarket Bushcamps in South Luangwa all provide a very comfortable, yet genuine bush experience. In the Victoria Falls area, luxurious up-market hotels and lodges, built along the banks of the Zambezi River provide everything from private valet to spa treatments.

Walking safaris ensure a thrilling up close and personal experience of the bush, and are ideal for evening game viewing. South Luangwa National Park is one of Africa’s first-class wildlife sanctuaries, and is home to one of Africa’s largest concentrations of wildlife and provides refuge to no less than 50 mammals and over 400 bird species. Seeing the animals from ground-level is a very different experience from viewing from a safari vehicle.

AFRICAExperts‘ 8-day South Luangwa Encounter Walking Safari starts from $4659 and offers a remote wildlife experience like no other. Some of the finest accommodations are featured, including a camp with en-suite bathrooms with double-sized sunken stone baths so you can unwind in the tub while watching the hippos in the river below!

The thunderous roar and rising mist that looks like smoke, is the likely reason locals gave Victoria Falls the apt name of “Mosi-oa-Tunya” – The Smoke that Thunders. The Falls are a definite highlight, but not the only attraction in the area. Numerous activities ranging from elephant-back safaris, bungee jumping, to microlight flights over the Falls can be arranged.

The 3-day Livingstone package featured in the AFRICAExperts brochure offers a variety of accommodation ranging from moderate to deluxe class and includes roundtrip airfare from Johannesburg. Many different touring and meal options are available depending on the chosen property. Prices for this program start at $886 per person twin share. As this package is offered on a daily basis, it’s the perfect fit to a tour in South Africa, Botswana or even Namibia.
