Goway’s Annual Aussie “Pow Wow” a Success

Over 33 Australian travel industry representatives travelled to Toronto in August to join Goway’s annual “Pow Wow” Aussie Training program to update the company’s reservations teams on the latest from the lands Downunder. Over 600 appointments were conducted which totalled over 110 hours of product training!

Goway also hosted a special Australia evening at the InterContinental Toronto, which drew over 500 attendees for approximately 3 hours. Travel Agents and consumers were given the opportunity to meet the visiting hotel, tour and tourist board representatives from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory and to attend an informative Goway presentation on Australia.

To end the Pow Wow training event, Goway reservations staff and managers, together with the visiting suppliers, travelled to Woodbine for a night at the races. Held in the trackside tents, the event was reminiscent of Australia’s famous Melbourne Cup, with all in attendance wearing creative, Australian themed hats.
